So, now that you have found us, our Team wants to take the opportunity to tell you about our services and how important you are to our mission of providing the safest, easiest, and most convenient payment platform for buyers and sellers of goods of value. PISTOLPAY was developed by a group of entrepreneurial buyers to fulfill a vast gap in the market for a payment platform that is friendly to transactions involving goods of value – those goods that may or may not be seen in normal retail stores, or those goods that might hold special value to buyers and sellers.
Our value proposition is as follows: There are other payment platforms on the market. For one reason or another, these platforms treat the transaction as if the buyer is standing in front of the seller, exchanging cash for an item that is plain to see and understand, rather than the reality of geographical, temporal, and even cultural separation with no hope of inspecting the item until it arrives, having already paid for it. In addition, the existing payment platforms encourage the continual decline of storefronts – the places where communities meet not only to buy and sell, but to exchange advice, stories, and, very often, buy a few more items than originally intended. By including you, the Dealer, in our transactions, we seek to foster a sense of community, blend the internet with storefront business, and drive buyers right to your store so that you can capture the additional sales – accessories, additional items, impulse buys, and so on and so forth.
In a nutshell, here is how we accomplish these lofty goals: Unlike other payment methods where the seller receives payment before ever shipping the goods, PISTOLPAY acts as a financial intermediary for our users, holding the buyer’s payment in a holding account until the goods are delivered to, and accepted by, the buyer. This system requires you, our trusted partner, to act as a transfer agent for the buyer, taking delivery and verifying that the buyer has accepted the goods so that we can deliver payment to the seller in a timely fashion. This means that the buyer will come to your place of business, excited about their purchase and has the pleasure of being greeted by you, a charming dealer, surrounded by other interesting items for sale, rather than a delivery person who is almost guaranteed to be in a hurry, possibly not in a great mood, and who might be, depending on the weather, hot, cold, wet, or even stinky. In effect, we create a deal funnel for you!
So, what can you expect? Well, that’s easy. First, there are never any fees or costs that we charge you – remember; you are part of the team! Second, you will be listed in our searchable database of participating dealers so that PISTOLPAY‘s users can find you to assist with their purchases. Beginning in early 2013, all PISTOLPAY transactions must be transferred through one of our participating dealers, so your participation limits your competition for the transfer to other participating PISTOLPAY dealers. Finally, and most importantly, when users come to your place of business to pick up their goods, you have the opportunity to provide them with all the accessories and extra items for their new purchase that their hearts desire!
